Business Development Representative (Southborough MA)

The primary purpose of this role is to assist the sales organization in maximizing the attainment of the company’s new
business and revenue goals by executing on the following activities:

  • Researching and documenting target companies and contacts
  • Calling target companies and contacts to uncover opportunities and understand current recognition programs
  • Participating in and following-up on marketing generated leads and activities
  • Qualifying prospects and setting up meetings with prospects for field sales representatives

Business Development Representatives are expected to maintain clean and accurate records of their activities and to
document valuable information about prospect companies and contacts in Salesforce.com.   Representatives are
expected to research accounts and new potential contacts; to understand the market for recognition solutions, market
positioning and differentiation, buyers’ needs, and the competition.  Active participation in training and the ability to
demonstrate capabilities and knowledge through testing are a key part of Business Development Representatives’
responsibilities.

Variable Compensation is based on:
1)      Number of qualified meetings established for Field Account Executives
2)      Effective follow up and management of inbound leads
3)      Deals won from qualified meetings

Cold Calling is a must have skill and significant part of day to day activity.
